THE STORY BEHIND SUEÑOS DEL MAR
Some projects begin with a building. Sueños del Mar began with a place.
One block from the Pacific in Jacó, the site offered something unusual: the energy and services of an established coastal city, the presence of tropical vegetation and enough space to imagine a residential community that could feel private without becoming isolated.
The question was not simply what could be built there. It was how the place could shape the way people live.
A COMMUNITY, NOT A COLLECTION OF BUILDINGS
Sueños del Mar was conceived as 48 private residences organized within one connected master plan. The community includes 18 Oasis Villas, 14 El Bosque Villas and 16 El Bosque Luxury Apartments across four boutique buildings.
But the residential count tells only part of the story.
The master plan also distributes everyday experiences across five distinct worlds: Selva Grand House, The Oasis, Guacamayos Forest, The Grounds and The Garden Park. Together they create places to work, move, gather, restore, play and spend time outdoors.
ROOTED IN THE CENTRAL PACIFIC
The setting matters because Sueños del Mar is not designed as an interchangeable resort concept. Jacó’s Pacific coastline, tropical climate, surrounding forest, access to Herradura and Los Sueños, nearby surf and the rhythm of the Central Pacific all influence the identity of the community.
The Pacific is not a distant backdrop. It is part of the everyday geography of the address.
A DIFFERENT RELATIONSHIP WITH NATURE
The project’s architecture and landscape strategy are intended to make outdoor life feel integral rather than decorative. Gardens, terraces, private pools, shaded spaces, natural light and open-air connections all play a role in how the residences are experienced.
The same idea extends into the shared spaces. Water becomes a central element in The Oasis. Movement can happen in VIDA or along the Guacamayos Trail. Work can shift outside the residence into IDEA. Even the forest becomes part of the daily route rather than an amenity seen only from a distance.
